Jahrhundert n\u00e4her betrachten. Sie zeigt ebenso die Schnittstellen zwischen Arch\u00e4ologie und Denkmalpflege auf, sowie die Entwicklung der politischen Umst\u00e4nde und des St\u00e4dtebaus, die diese beeinflusst haben. Denn der sogenannte Konflikt mit Denkm\u00e4lern jeglicher Art in einer wachsenden Stadt, die auch eine Symbiose mit der Vergangenheit und Gegenwart bildet, ist am Beispiel Rom evident. Die p\u00e4pstlichen Kulturg\u00fcterschutzgesetze sind in der heutigen Gesetzgebung allgegenw\u00e4rtig. Das Thema ist so gew\u00e4hlt, um den Umgang mit Ruinen respektive Denkm\u00e4lern diskutieren zu k\u00f6nnen und daraus eventuelle L\u00f6sungsans\u00e4tze zu entwickeln. Denn durch eine gut recherchierte Analyse kann ein kritischer Blick auch f\u00fcr die Zukunft wichtig sein kann, auch einen Beitrag zu heutigen Denkmaldebatten liefern.
