In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft der Stadt Banja Luka in Bosnien-Herzegowina wurde 1954 das Unternehmen Incel gegr\u00fcndet. Incel entwickelte sich zu dem f\u00fchrenden Hersteller von Zellstoff, Papier und Chemiefasern in Jugoslawien. Die Fabrikanlagen befinden sich in dem \u00f6stlichen Industriegebiet von Banja Luka an der M\u00fcndung des Flusses Vrbanja in Vrbas und erstrecken sich auf einer Fl\u00e4che von 95 Hektar. Seit den Anf\u00e4ngen der Produktion entwickelte sich der Standort durch kontinuierliche Erweiterung seiner Fabrikationsst\u00e4tten. Mit Ausbruch des Bosnischen Krieges ging die dynamische Entwicklung des Unternehmens verloren, das in weiterer Folge 1992 stillgelegt wurde. <\/p>\n

Das seither verlassene und devastierte Industrieareal von Incel gewinnt allerdings zusehends Bedeutung im Rahmen der urbanistischen Entwicklung von Banja Luka. Dieser wachsenden Bedeutung Rechnung tragend befasst sich die angek\u00fcndigte Masterarbeit mit einer Dokumentation und einer bauhistorischen Anlayse des Baubestands sowie mit einem Revitalisierungskonzept ausgew\u00e4hlter Anlagenbereiche.<\/p>\n
