Diese Diplomarbeit besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit dem ehemaligen Volksbad in der Klagbaumgasse 4 im 4. Bezirk, das nach 85 erfolgreichen Betriebsjahren 1978 geschlossen wurde. Dabei wird die Thematik des \u201eBadens\u201c geschichtlich betrachtet und es erfolgt eine tiefe Auseinandersetzung der Grundlagenforschung zum Thema Reinigung, Hygiene und Baden – im Hinblick auf mehrere Epochen. Weiters wird ein neues Nutzungskonzept in Form einer Aufstockung ausformuliert, da\u00df die gut erhaltenen Brausen im 1. und 2. Stock miteinbezieht. Diese Arbeit soll aufzeigen, wie man mit Hilfe von baulichen Eingriffen und der Implementierung einer neuen Nutzung dem Volksbad wieder Leben einhauchen kann.<\/p>\n
